In the wellness world, using labels like healthy and unhealthy perpetuates the idea of perfection.
When December rolls around, so too do all the gift guides. I thought about contributing in the same way this year, by providing you with wonderful ideas for all your fit friends.
This past Sunday evening I joined Verde, a local restaurant chain, in their #fansgiving fall event. It was such a fun night. We talked, laughed, ate. All the good things wrapped into one evening.
It’s here! The most wonderful time of the year! Seriously though, if you don’t like the holiday season I’m not sure we can be friends. It’s not that I won’t like you, but rather, you won’t like me.
When it comes to choosing dessert, I’ve become an expert. Like with all food I eat, I’m a snob. I only want the best and I’ll refuse any lesser options with a “no thanks, I’m full”.
If you’re someone who brings their food with them, you understand the dilemma of finding the perfect lunch box. In school there’s not much room in your backpack.
When it comes to eating nutritiously and creating a healthy lifestyle, one recommendation we just can’t seem to get past is “everything in moderation”.
